The accreditation process uses community-developed consensus standards to assess the Association Management Company's (AMC) services, policies and resources. It requires the AMC to meet certain standards regarding service delivery, effective management, internal controls and quality practices. AMC's are reviewed for accreditation by a panel of industry specialists who review a detailed application that profiles the company's internal practices as well as requiring a CPA's attestation as to the soundness of these practices.
